Reiki Training Courses and Attunement Information

Once you have experienced Reiki treatment you may wish to learn to use this gentle energy to treat yourself or other people. Anyone can learn how to do this. It requires no special qualifications or abilities at all, only an interest and an open mind.

Sarah is an experienced Reiki Master Teacher of over 23 years and is registered with the UK Reiki Federation (UKRF) and Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). Sarah updated her Reiki training in 2017 to become recognised by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) by undertaking a CNHC level programme of education and training which lead to an Education and Training qualification.

Level 1

First Degree (Beginner)

First Degree Training is about connecting to the Energy, developing your sensitivity to the flow of energy, beginning your own healing and introduction to the spiritual aspects of Reiki practice. Reiki is essentially a spiritual practice – the healing which occurs is an inevitable result of an altered spiritual perspective.

Level 2

Second Degree (Practitioner)

Reiki Second Degree training may be taken a minimum of 3 months after Level 1 training. This course will help to reinforce and enhance your connection to the energy, deepen understanding of the Reiki teachings, learn what the Reiki symbols represent and how to use them,  establish and trust a strong distant connection for remote healing and opening up your psychic awareness for intuitive work.

Level 3a

Third Degree (Part A - Master Practitioner)

This course is suitable for any Reiki student who wishes to expand their understanding of Reiki and the use of more advanced techniques, but who does not wish to take the full Master Teacher course immediately.

Requirements for students: Previous completion of Reiki Level 2 requirements and at least 3 months experience at working at this level (professionally or not) in one-one situations and Reiki shares.

Level 3b

Third Degree (Part B - Master Teacher)

This course is suitable for any Reiki student who has already attained Reiki Level 3 (Master/Advanced) and who now wishes to expand their understanding of Reiki and the use of more advanced techniques and apply it to teaching other students.

Requirements to attend this course are: Previous completion of all Reiki Level 3A requirements and a minimum of 2 years experience working at Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner level. This may be in paid or unpaid practice.

Training begins at Level 1 (First Degree, Shoden), then continues to Level 2 (2nd Degree, Okuden) when the student is ready, involving a period of mentoring, further study, practice and assessment to gain certification as a Reiki Practitioner.

Reiki Practitioner training has been designed to meet the current Core Curriculum for Reiki, has been verified by the UK Reiki Council and is approved by the UK Reiki Federation. Students who complete this course of training, practice and assessment are able to join CNHC and use the CNHC quality mark.

After gaining experience students may later continue on to training at Level 3A (Reiki Master Practitioner) and Level 3B (Reiki Master Teacher) as required.

We also hold a Reiki share group which allow practice time for development of confidence and experience plus meeting and getting to know other local Reiki people.
